Our Mission
At Mt. Elizabeth Academy, our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where young minds blossom, hearts are filled with love, and spirits are uplifted. We are looking for teachers who see early childhood education as a career. Our owners are master educators, and our leadership team has more than 60 years of combined school leadership experience. We know what good teaching takes, and we build the school around supporting it.
Teaching at Mt. Elizabeth
Here, teaching means more than keeping children safe and happy, though we do plenty of both. Our curriculum blends fine arts, science, and faith, and follows Georgia’s Early Learning and Development Standards. Classes stay small, so you get to know every child: their personality, how they learn, and what lights them up.
You will teach alongside colleagues who pray with their classes, celebrate each child’s milestones, and call every family by name. Our families chose a Christian school on purpose, and they notice when a teacher truly cares.
What Your Day Looks Like
We open at 6:30 AM and close at 6:00 PM, and your schedule is built around your classroom and your shift. A typical day:
Morning: Greet each child and parent by name, settle your class in, and begin the day’s learning. The academic day starts at 8:30.Midday: The children have lunch, then rest time from about 12:00 to 2:00.Afternoon: Outdoor play on one of our four playgrounds or the nature trail, the indoor gym when the weather turns, and the learning centers and activities you plan.Every day: Photos and updates to families through Brightwheel, so parents see the good moments while they are still fresh.Along the way: Chapel, Bible class, and Spanish, plus the monthly events that make our academy feel like a community.

Who We Are Looking For

Early childhood education experience or coursework (a CDA, degree, or progress toward one is a plus)
What Georgia requires:
A fingerprint-based background check and the required health and safety training, including CPR and First Aid (we help you schedule it)

A note on faith: Mt. Elizabeth Academy is a non-denominational Christian school. You do not need to share a particular church background, but you will be part of chapel, Bible class, and prayer with your class, and we ask that you respect and support that mission.

Meet your classroom. Spend a trial day in the room you’d be teaching in, chat with staff, and tour the facility.
Your first 90 days. New teachers start as provisional team members. It gives you and us time to make sure the room, the team, and the school are the right fit for both sides.
