Yvonne Perkins

Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction

Yvonne Perkins

Ms. Yvonne has over 15 years of educational leadership and classroom teaching experience in the public and private elementary school system. Those 15 years have equipped her with the knowledge and skills to train, guide, and equip Mt. Elizabeth’s teachers to rise above the rest and nurture the whole child (socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically) while instilling a love for learning that begins with active and imaginative play at a young age.

Ms. Yvonne has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University and is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Liberty University. She considers herself a life-long learner.

In addition to being the Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction, she is a wife to Pastor Bill Perkins and mother to their eight children, ages 4 – 23. Ms. Yvonne became an avid runner at age 34 after a lifetime struggle with obesity and has completed multiple races and half marathons since that pivotal moment. Running all the miles is what you will catch her doing while not at work or spending time with her family. Her life goal as an educator is for every child in her path to know that God created them each in a uniquely gifted way to be used for great things!

There are so many wonderful children’s books out there, but one of her favorites is The Story of Ferdinand the Bull by Munro Leaf.
