Every fall, our teachers at Mount Elizabeth Academy in Kennesaw, Georgia, channel their inner artists for our annual Pumpkin Decorating Event—a highly anticipated tradition that sparks joy, friendly competition, and community spirit among our infants through kindergarten families. Classes transform ordinary pumpkins into masterpieces, from whimsical characters to seasonal scenes, all on display for parents to admire and vote on during drop-off.
This year, the creativity was next-level. Miss Emily’s class clinched first place with a pumpkin so enchanting it could light up the patch itself—edging out Miss Samantha’s stellar entry. Miss Emily turned into our unofficial campaign manager, spending the whole week lurking by the front doors with a sly smile, gently reminding passersby why her pumpkin deserved the top spot. Parents browsed past the vibrant display, kids pointed and squealed in excitement, and the votes poured in—each one celebrating the fun and creativity of our tight-knit group.
